Sessions in d20mob and hireling kept saying "Nothing is needed from you" while a merge, a "log it" and a branch deletion were still waiting. In one hireling lane the session said it and then, when asked, admitted the merge of pull request 95 was still needed. The words came from ck's own How we work template, which has said since 0.1.12 "when nothing is needed from the User, say so in those words" and, at a session's end, "If nothing else is left, say so".

What changes

  • How we work 0.1.28, "The User's rules". Every message to the User ends in one of two ways:
    • Something is left in this session, such as a merge, "log it" or deleting the branch: the message lists what is left, in order, and ends with the exact words for the first one ("Say merge 95").
    • Nothing is left (the pull request merged, the records logged, the branch deleted): the message ends "This session can be closed."
    • It never says "nothing is needed", or any words that leave out work still waiting. An answer to "where do things stand" ends the same way.
  • "Finishing a session" ends the same way: once the branch is deleted, "This session can be closed." Work outside the session is named in one line and left to the coordinator.
  • Nothing else needed changing. One git grep across skills/, profiles/, agents/, templates/ and scripts/ found no other place that tells a session how to end a message. The "say so" lines it found are about other things, so no persona changed. The older templates stay as they are.

Tests

  • tests/run.sh: 504 passed, 0 failed. The /ck:claude-md tests read the 0.1.28 template.

Not in this release

  • d20mob and hireling pick up 0.1.28 through /ck:claude-md, each on its own pull request, on your word.

Sessions in d20mob and hireling kept telling Will "Nothing is needed
from you" while a merge, a "log it" and a branch deletion were still
waiting. ck's own template said so since 0.1.12: "when nothing is needed
from the User, say so in those words", and at a session's end "If
nothing else is left, say so".

New templates/how-we-work/0.1.28.md: every message to the User ends in
one of two ways. With something left in the session, it lists what is
left in order and ends with the exact words for the first one ("Say
merge 95"). With nothing left (merged, logged, branch deleted), it ends
"This session can be closed." It never says "nothing is needed".
"Finishing a session" ends the same way. A git grep found no other place
that tells a session how to end a message. The /ck:claude-md tests read
the new template.
